Evaluasi Program Pembangunan Sistem Drainase Jalan Ber Skala Lingkungan Kota Pekanbaru Pada Tahun 2018

The drainage network system in an area should be designed to
accommodate normal flow rates, especially during the rainy season, meaning that
the drainage channel capacity has been calculated to accommodate the water
discharge that occurs so that the area in question does not experience inundation
or flooding. If the capacity of the drainage system decreases due to various
reasons, even a normal discharge will not be able to be accommodated by the
existing system, while the reasons for the decreased capacity of the system are,
among others, there is a lot of sediment, physical damage to the network system,
the presence of other buildings above the network system. At certain times during
the rainy season there is often an increase in flow rate, or there has been an
increase in discharge due to various reasons, then the capacity of the existing
system can no longer accommodate the flow rate, resulting in flooding in an area.
This study aims to determine and conduct an analysis of the Evaluation of
the Environmental Scale Road Drainage System Development Program in 2018 in
Pekanbaru City and to find out and conduct an analysis related to the factors that
hinder the Evaluation of the Environmental Scale Road Drainage System
Development Program in 2018 in Pekanbaru City. . The type of research used is
descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Methods of data collection is
done by interview, observation, and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that the Evaluation of the Environmental
Scale Road Drainage System Development Program in 2018 can be concluded
that it has not gone well. This is evidenced from the facts on the ground which
show that the condition of the drainage system in Pekanbaru City is currently not
evenly distributed, especially environmental-scale drainage, apart from these
problems, the construction of an environmental-scale drainage system is currently
being carried out by the Public Housing and Residential Areas of Pekanbaru City.

the construction of drainage that is not in accordance with the needs is where the
currently available physical drainage has a relatively small size and does not
have a calculation which drains water to a lower area through the drainage, the
fact in the field today is that many drainages are built only as a formality. Of
course, when it rains the puddle water that enters the drainage channel does not
flow, and stays in the drainage itself, the same thing also happens if the
community bathroom waste is channeled into an environmental-scale drainage
system, the water that enters the drainage channel does not flow properly , thus
causing new problems, ranging from unpleasant odors, to becoming a nest of
mosquitoes that can cause disease for the surrounding community.
