Pemetaan Kualitas Perairan Selat Rupat
Anthropogenic activities such as residential, industrial and port activities in Rupat
Strait give pressure on the environmental system and damage to the ecosystem.
Aquatic ecosystems as the ultimate goal of disposal of anthropogenic activities
accommodate waste. Research has been carried out on the quality of the waters in
Rupat Strait based on several parameters to determine the distribution of water
quality. Water quality parameters tested include surface temperature, pH, turbidity
levels with variations in depth, salinity, conductivity and heavy metal
concentrations such as Pb and Fe. The average value of temperature parameter
testing is (29.75 ± 0.127) °C, this temperature is classified as good and is within
the range of normal values generally found in Indonesian territorial waters. The
average pH (7.52 ± 0.042) indicates that the waters belong to the feasible category
for aquatic organisms and ports. The average level of turbidity surface (2,212 ±
1,271) NTU, at a depth of 1 meter (1,423 ± 1,074) NTU and (5.19 ± 3.031) NTU
at a depth of 2 meters. The average salinity value of the waters in Rupat Strait is
(30.3 ± 0.758) ‰. The waters distribution values are almost evenly distributed
throughout the research stations. The average conductivity value is (45210 ±
179.195) μs / cm, this value is the general value of conductivity in marine waters.
The average concentrations of heavy metal Pb and Fe are (0.20088 ± 0.049418)
ppm and (0.04715 ± 0.015993) ppm, respectively based on applicable regulations,
the Pb and Fe content in Rupat Strait waters is above the specified TLV, where
