Analisis Prospektif Pengembangan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Pola Swadaya Di Provinsi Riau

This study aims to (1) analyze the level of acceptance, net income and the efficiency of the independent oil palm plantation development in Riau Province, (2) to analyze the determinants attributes of the independent oil palm plantation development in Riau Province, (3) formulating the implications for the development of independent oil palm plantation in Riau Province.
This study used a survey method by interviewing and filling out a questionnaire by selected respondents. Respondents in this study were 270 people from three districts in Riau Province, namely Kampar, Rokan Hulu, and Rokan Hilir who were determined using a multi-stage sampling technique. The analytical method used is business analysis to answer the first research purposes and prospective analysis to answer the second and third research purposes.
The results showed that (1) the average total income of independent oil palm plantation development in Riau Province was Rp. 14,315,766.80 Ha/Year or Rp. 12,754,052.67 Lg/Th with a net income of Rp. 10,061,734.40 Ha/Year or Rp. 8,999,852.64 Lg/Th, and the efficiency obtained from the RCR value of 2.40 and the average BEP of production of 540.76 Kg/Lg/Th, which means that the farm is profitable and feasible to develop, (2) the determining attributes of the independent oil palm plantation development in Riau Province, which consists of procedures, farmer groups, cooperatives, assistants, transparency, technology, policies, experience, partnerships, and legal certainty, and (3) the implications for the development of independent oil palm plantation in Riau Province include the existence of partner banks for farmers, providing services from the government to farmers in the form of farming permits, completing land legality (Freehold Certificate/FC), increasing human resources in the form of farming knowledge and skills independent oil palm smallholders.
