Tingkat Literasi Dan Efektivitas Media Penyuluhan Usahatani Karet Di Kecamatan Gunung Toar Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi

The purposes of this research are: 1) Identifying the implementation of extension workers to
rubber farmers in Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. 2) Identify the level of media
literacy skills of rubber farmers in Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. 3) Studied the
effectiveness level of extension media to rubber farmers in Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi
Regency. 4) To analyze the relationship between the characteristics of extension workers and rubber
farmers to the level of literacy and media effectiveness in Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi
Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The total samples taken
were 60 samples. The data analysis used is descriptive, Likert's Summated Rating Scale (LSRS) and
EPIC Model analysis, and Rank Spearman correlation analysis. The results of this research showed
that: 1) The implementation of rubber counseling in Gunung Toar District has been carried out quite
well including extension workers, farmers, media, methods, materials, time, and place. 2) The media
literacy level of rubber farmers is at the "Basic" level. 3) The effectiveness level of the printed media
is in the "Fairly Effective" category, while the physical object media is in the "Effective" category,
and the audiovisual extension media is in the "Quite Effective" category. 4) There is a relationship
between the level of media literacy and the level of media effectiveness. 5) There is a relationship
between internal and external characteristics with media literacy and media effectiveness.
