Analisa Jaringan Internet Of Things Pada Sistem Monitoring Kelembaban Tanah Pembibitan Kelapa Sawit
ABSTRACT
Internet of Things is a concept where physical devices can receive and transmit
data by utilizing an internet network connection. The application of IoT in this study
was carried out on a soil moisture monitoring system in oil palm plant nurseries.
Oil palm is the most widely used vegetable oil-producing plant in the world.
Generally used as food ingredients, cosmetic ingredients, medicines to raw
materials for making biodiesel. Crucial stages of oil palm seeding are in the prenursery
and main nursery stages. The monitoring system design uses ESP8266,
capacitive humidity sensor, LCD, I2C module, TP 4056 module, and Lithium 18650
battery which is integrated with the Blynk application and the Thingspeak website.
The test was carried out by testing the soil moisture monitoring function on Blynk
and Thingspeak as well as testing the Quality of Service performance using delay
and packet loss parameters for 3 days with sample data collection in the morning,
afternoon and evening for one hour. The result of the research is the system is
successful in monitoring soil moisture for oil palm nurseries by implementing the
Internet of Things. The results of the network performance test are the delay
parameters with an average of 300,5583959 ms with the "Medium" TIPHON
category. Test the packet loss parameters with an average of 0.021986129% with
the TIPHON category "Very good".
