Faktor-Faktor Pemilihan Lokasi Industri Tepung Tapioka Di Kabupaten Bengkalis (Studi Kasus: Kawasan Kecamatan Mandau, Pinggir Dan Bathin Solapan)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the determinants of the location of the tapioca flour
industry in Bengkalis Regency. The main approach of this study is Weber's
method of locating. The calculation of the center point of the industrial location
uses the location value using the Sturges statistical method and the access facility
factor using the Hansen gravity method. The results of the study found that the
selected location was Mandau Subdistrict and its surroundings in Bengkalis
Regency. Cassava production in Mandau District, Pinggir District, and Bathin
Solapan District is 10,027.68 tons year 2019 and 9309,00 tons in year 2020.
There has been a decline due to the hope of establishing a tapioca flour factory in
2015 until now only assuming promises and requests to plant cassava so that
over time the enthusiasm for producing cassava is reduced in the community
The facility to market the cassava harvest, which is close to the market,
provides a great opportunity for the community to improve the economy in the
area where the factory will be established. Weber describes the determination of
the location of industrial activities in the locational triangle. According to
location theory, the selection of the location in the Mandau District area as the
location of the tapioca flour factory was due to the fulfillment of the factors for
the establishment of a factory. such as raw materials, labor, transportation,
facilities and infrastructure, electricity, convenience factors such as education,
health, markets, and banking, then government policies and agglomeration, as
well as other supporting facilities.
