Injection prevention and control is an activity that includes planning, implementation, guidance, education and training as well as monitoringfor irfection prevention and control. PPI is very important because it describes the quality of service in hospitals (Kemenkes RI, 2010). Pekanbaru X Private Hospital has implemented infection prevention and control programs, namely by providing training (educationand training) on theprevention and control of infectiousdiseases, counseling and training on hand hygiene, training on catheter installation, training on waste/garbage management, training on the use of PPE, trainingfor intravenous line installation. , 'hand hygiene counselingfor visitors. The implementation of the PPI at the Pekanbaru X Private Hospital has been carried out but the PPI aatvities/components have never been evaluatedfor success.
This study aims to analyze the implementation of infection prevention and control programs, analyze environmental quality standards, and analyze the application of patient safety in one of the X Private Hospitals in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted from February to May 2021 at X Private Hospital Pekanbaru City. In this study the method used is a case study approach. Data collection tools using observation sheets and questionnaires. The population in this study was the entire PPI team of X Private Hospital Pekanbaru, with a sample of 30 people. Data analysis carried out in this study consisted of 4 stages, namely data collection,data reduction, datapresentation and conclusion drawing.
The results showed that the application of hand hygiene at PKU Private X
Hospital had been carried out well in accordance with regulations and SOPs regarding infectious disease control, injectionprevention and controlprograms such as managerial, administrative, environmental control, control with personal protective equipment and surveillance at HospitalX Theprivate sector of Pekanbaru City has met the requirements of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 270/Menkes/SKlIIII2007. The environmental quality of the Pekanbaru CityX Private Hospital is classifiedas good and has met the requirements of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number
1204/MENKES/SKlXl2004. The implementation of patient safety goals at the Pekanbaru City X Private Hospital was carried out well but not optimally because from the results of observations there were only two patient safety goals that had received maximum results or 100%, namely increasing the use of drugs with high alertness (high alert). and the certainty of the right location, the rightprocedure, the right patient for surgery, while the other 4 targets are still classified as not optimal, namely patient identification, increasing effective communication, preventing infection risk and reducing the risk of falling patients, but the results are already above 80% in its application.
