The highest morbidity rate in children under five in Indonesia is always
caused by ARI. It is reported that cough and cold attacks in toddlers in Indonesia
reach 3-6 times every year. The prevalence rate of ARI cases in Riau in 2018 was
7.1%. These data indicate an increase in the prevalence of ARI from the data in
2013 which was 2.1%. ARI is included in the top 10 health center diseases that most
suffer from the community in Pekanbaru. Spatial analysis is needed to determine the
state of ARI under five in Pekanbaru City by using spatial analysis which can
visually describe the distribution of ARI cases under five in Pekanbaru City. The
purpose of this study was to see the distribution of cases of ARI under five in
Pekanbaru City on posyandu, nutrition, breastfeeding factors. This research is a
descriptive study using spatial analysis based on the work area of the puskesmas
with secondary data. The results showed that the areas with high rates of ARI cases
were Harapan Raya Health Center, Payung Sekaki Health Center and Sail Health
Center. Posyandu factors, nutrition and breastfeeding are not the only variables that
affect the number of cases of ARI under five in Pekanbaru City. It is recommended
