Analisis Kesalahan Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita Matematika Materi Pecahan Pada Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar
Mathematics is an applied science that humans need when experiencing life cases. Therefore, elementary school students are required to be able to describe mathematical problems by solving story problems. These problems include cases of mathematics in everyday life. However, these requirements are inversely proportional to the reality at the Pekanbaru State Primary School. In educational materials, many students whose academic performance is poor indicate gaps in the teaching process and need to be revised. For this reason, it is necessary to first try to analyze the mistakes made by students when solving story problems. So from that, this research is intended to identify the mistakes of fifth grade students in working on math story problems with fractions. Based on the explanation above, this research discusses student errors. The type of research used is a mixed research (mixed methods). Data collection techniques were carried out by tests, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the most errors made by students were Encoding Errors of 62%, followed by Comprehension Errors of 40.5%, Process Skills Errors of 20.5%, and Transformation Errors of 14.5% .
