Infestasi Taenia Sp Dan Faktor Yang Mempengaruhinya Pada Pekerja Di Tiga Rumah Potong Hewan Provinsi Riau
Parasitic disease is an important health problem in development countries
including Indonesia. One of parasitic disease exists in Indonesia and lack of
attention is worm disease caused by tapeworm Taenia saginata (taeniasis
saginata) and Taenia solium (taeniasis solium and cysticercosis). Infestation
Taenia sp closely related to personal hygiene factor and environment which
regularly exposed by beef or pork. The purpose of this study was to identify
Taenia sp infestations and the factors affect to the workers in three
slaughterhouses in Riau Province. This study is a descriptive study with a crosssectional
approach in August 2020 to December 2021. Stool samples and risk
factors data were obtained from 37 respondents and questionnaire respectively.
The result of this study shows that there is no infestation of Taenia sp. However,
on the result of the examination found tapeworm Hymenolepis diminuta in a
worker of the three slaughterhouses of Riau Province. This infestation indicates
the lack of hygiene and sanitation from the worker which may obtained out of
work environment around the living environment.
