Pemanfaatan Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Sebagai Pupuk Di Pt. Perkebunan Nusantara Iv Kebun Air Batu Kabupaten Asahan
This study aims to analyze the physical and chemical properties of the
land for application and non-application, then analyze the public's perception of
the utilization of palm oil effluent, and cost savings on the utilization of palm oil
mill effluent. The method used in this study was survey and sampling methods
were set as many as 6 soil samples with a depth of 0-20 cm according to the
distance between sample points and sampling in application and non-application
land. Parameters of physical and chemical properties were measured such as
total porosity, water content, permeability, pH, C-organic, N-total, P-available,
and K-available, then the perception of the community around the PTPN IV stone
water garden complex and outside PTPN IV stone water garden complex, and the
cost of saving palm oil mill effluent.
The results showed that there were significant differences in the
parameters of physical and chemical properties between the land for liquid waste
application and non-liquid waste application palm oil mill. The significant
difference for physical properties is that the total porosity parameters in the
application area shows an average value of 51.41, while in non-application land
it is 47.69, the water content parameters in the application area has an average
value of 25.90, while in non-application land is 26.42, and the soil permeability
parameters in application land has an average value of 1.58, while in nonapplication
land it is 1.39. The next, significant difference in chemical properties
for the soil pH parameter in the application land has an average value of 5.13,
while in non-application land it is 6.52, the C-organic parameter in the
application land has an average value of 1.89. , while in non-application land it is
1.32, the N-total parameter in application land has an average value of 0.25,
while in non-application land it is 0.17, for the P-available parameter in
application land has an average value The average value is 18.41, while in the
non-application area it is 1.04, and for the K-available parameter in the
application area, it has an average value of 242.94 while in the non-application
area it is 64.97. The positive perception from the community around the PTPN IV
stone water garden complex and outside the PTPN IV stone water garden
complex is that the volume of waste is large and the smell of sewage is no longer
felt in residential areas. urthermore, the cost savings of using liquid waste as a
substitute for fertilizer use in oil palm plantations is very profitable. The
advantage is the cost savings in purchasing fertilizers. Meanwhile, non-financial
benefits are in the form of maintaining the surrounding environment from waste
disposal activities. The use of liquid waste at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV stone
water garden can provide cost savings of 46% with a company profits of Rp.
852.845,000 Annually.
