Ketergantungan Masyarakat Terhadap Sumberdaya Alam Taman Nasional Bukit Tigapuluh Di Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
Bukit Tigapuluh National Park has natural resources that are important for the
community. The purpose of this study was to determine the community's dependence
on natural resources in and around the national park area. Data collection was carried
out in August-September 2021 in 2 villages, with each village taken 2 hamlets to
conduct research that is in direct contact with the area. The selection of informants
was carried out using the snowball sampling method. The key informant was the
traditional leader and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that
the non-timber forest products used were fish, meranti gum, rattan, honey of sialang
bees, vegetables, fruits, jernang, kelukup, rubber, sugar palm, areca nut and others, as
well as wild animals that were previously consumed., namely deer and pigs.
Community’s dependence on wood is grouped into three based on its use, namely as
a building material, household utensils and firewood. Factors that influence
community dependence are economic, social, and cultural.
