Aplikasi Abu Sekam Padi Terhadap Pertumbuhan Semai Gerunggang (Cratoxylon Arborescens Blume) Pada Medium Gambut
ABSTRACT
Damage causes a reduction in the ecological and socio-economic multifunctionality of peatlands. Cratoxylon arborescen is a type of tree that is relatively fire resistant compared to other tree species. For this reason, this local tree compared to other tree species is recommended to be used as a rehabilitation tree to prevent forest and peatland fires. To get good Cratoxylon arborescens growth, nutrients are needed, one of which is by giving rice husk ash. The aim of this study was to determine the effect and the best dose of rice husk ash application on the growth of Cratoxylon arborescens seedlings on peat medium. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 levels of treatment and 4 replications to obtain 20 experimental units. This study used 5 treatments, namely: S0 = Without rice husk ash application, S1 = 20% rice husk ash application + 80% peat soil, S2 = 30% rice husk ash application + 70% peat soil, S3 = 40% husk ash application rice + 60% peat soil, S4 = Application of 50% rice husk ash + 50% rice husk ash. Data were analyzed by variance using SPSS 20.0. If the results of the variance have a significant effect, then further analysis is done using the DNMRT test at the 5% level. The application of rice husk ash had a significant effect on the growth of Cratoxylon arborescens seedlings on peat medium. The best dose of the five treatments was the S3 treatment (40% rice husk ash + 60% peat soil) with a 100% survival rate, 4,07 cm height increase, 0,58 mm diameter increase, plant dry weight 1,66, and top-root 2,14.
