Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Buah Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia L) Terhadap Hama Rayap Tanah (Coptotermes Curvignathus Holmgren)
ABSTRACT
Preservation of wood mostly uses non-organic synthetic chemicals which have a negative impact on the environment where the residue produced by these preservatives is difficult to decompose by biological processes, so efforts are needed to reduce the impact of wood preservation by making environmentally friendly wood preservatives derived from wood preservatives. Plants such as noni fruit which contain bioactive compounds and are active ingredients as pest control. This research was conducted to determine the effect of noni fruit extract on subterranean termites with various types of different solvents and to determine the optimal concentration level for each noni fruit extract solvent that affects subterranean termites. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (RAL) with two factors consisting of nine treatment combinations and five replications. Noni fruit is cut into pieces before drying, then mashed. Noni powder is then macerated with each solution. The maceration results are then evaporated using a rotary evaporator. The thick extract of the noni fruit was then made into 3 different concentrations of each solution. Then whatman test paper was soaked in each treatment and then fed to the termites. subterranean termite mortality with the highest value of ethanol 90.93, methanol 82.80 and the smallest aquades 68.13, the best weight loss of test paper was ethanol with a value of 5.90, methanol 10.85 and aquades 19.84. The optimal treatment of noni fruit extract in controlling subterranean termites was 10% ethanol extract concentration with the smallest paper weight loss value of 4.65.
