The rate of forest cover loss is due to forest encroachment. Currently, the government continues to make efforts to manage forests sustainably by involving the community through the Social Forestry program. Community Forestry is one of five Social Forestry schemes. Community Forest as a conception that brings together all interests (community welfare, productivity of forest resources and sustainability of forest functions) and is an approach that is expected to be an alternative solution in forest management. This research aims to determine the participation of Forest Farmers Group Lumban Lansang members. The data are analyzed in quantitative and qualitative ways. The results showed that the participation of Forest Farmers Group Lumban Lansang members at the stage (planning, implementation, evaluation, utilization of forest products, forest protection and cultivating forests) was quite contributing to the success of Community Forest management.
