ABSTRACT
Jalan Riau which is located in Payung Sekaki District has a 2-lane 2-way undivided road type (2/2 UD) with a road width of 9 meters which is classified as a collector road. This resulted in side friction that occurred, namely many vehicles going in and out on that part of the road, thus affecting road performance in that area. This study aims to determine the performance of the road on Jalan Riau so that it can be used as a reference for overcoming traffic problems. This study uses the rules and regulations used to refer to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI). Data collected during the final project research in the Field are Road Geometric (road type, road width, road shoulder width and type of pavement type), Traffic Volume Vehicle Speed and Side Barriers. The highest peak flow of vehicles on Monday occurs at 13.00 – 14.00 with a total of 4,442 vehicles/hour, with a separation of 35.7% : 64.3% with a side resistance class of Medium (M) and a free flow speed of 37.1 km/hour with a road capacity obtained of 3,107 pcu/hour. Based on the research results DS 0.45 - 0.74 can be categorized in service level C, which is still in the steady flow zone, the driver is limited in choosing speed.
