Pengembangan E-Instrumen Penilaian Berpikir Kritis Berbasis Literasi Sains Dan Multiple Intelligence Pada Materi Asam Basa
The E-Instrument for Critical Thinking Assessment based on scientific literacy and multiple intelligences is used to measure critical thinking skills based on data by providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, providing further explanations and developing strategies and tactics. The e-assessment instrument was developed and adapted to indicators of critical thinking based on scientific literacy and multiple intelligence and integrated into acid-base material.
Acid-base material is material that studies the properties of acid-base solutions, pH calculations, indicators for the introduction of solution properties, degree of acidity, strong acid and weak acid, degree of dissociation of acids and bases and reactions between acid solutions and base solutions. Based on the description of the concept, it is clear that the concept of acids and bases is basically found in students' daily lives. Natural symptoms such as changes in flower color based on the planting medium are examples of the application of acids and bases. Because hydrocarbon material has a fairly broad and complex scope so that students' critical thinking skills can be developed with the help of scientific literacy and multiple intelligence.
This study aims to produce e-assessment e-instruments to be able to measure critical thinking skills on acid-base materials and to determine the validity of e-assessment e-instruments and determine characteristics (validity,
reliability, level of difficulty, and item discrimination) of the e-instrument items developed and to find out the results of measuring students' critical thinking skills in each school.
The research method used is the Borg and Gall research and development model. The stages of this research were carried out up to the development stage. The e-assessment instrument developed in this study consists of sixteen essay test items which refer to critical thinking indicators which consist of 5 indicators, scientific literacy indicators which consist of 4 indicators and types of multiple intelligence which consist of 5 of 9 types of multiple intelligence. The validation of this e-assessment instrument was carried out by three validators who are Lecturers in Chemistry Education Postgraduate Program at the University of Riau and lecturers in Chemistry Education at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This research involved 72 high school students in Pekanbaru. The data collection e-instruments in this study were validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires and e-assessment e-instruments in the form of essay questions. Based on the validity according to experts in terms of material aspects, construction aspects and language aspects, the percentage results obtained ranged from 81% -100%. The e-assessment instrument has a validation value in the very feasible category because it ranges from 81% -100%. The results of the
xv
analysis of critical thinking skills, scientific literacy and multiple intelligence from 3 validators show that e-instruments have respective validations, namely 85.4%, 87.5% and 79.1% in the good category. The 16 e-assessment items developed are considered valid so that they can be used as a measuring tool to determine students' critical thinking skills. The results of the characteristic test on the e-instrument for assessing students' creative thinking abilities obtained information that: questions that were stated to be constructively valid with a Pearson correlation value of > 0.36 totaled 11 questions, the reliability of the cronbach alpa questions assisted by the SPSS for Windows software program version 25 was 0.869, had a high level of confidence. The results of the difficulty level of the questions obtained were 10 questions in the medium category and 1 question in the easy category. While the discriminating power of the items was obtained that 8 questions were in the sufficient category and 3 questions were in the bad category. The e-Instrument for assessing students' critical thinking skills in the aspects of readability is very good, sufficient time is good and questionability is very good. The results of measuring students' critical thinking skills in acid-base materials for 72 students in 3 schools indicate that students' critical thinking skills are quite critical.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the development of instruments for assessing students' critical thinking skills in acid-base material as many as 16 questions were declared materially valid and from the 12 questions were validated constructively, 11 questions were valid and reliable. Analysis of the level of difficulty and discriminating power resulted in 11 questions which were declared eligible for the wide-scale test and declared as the final product. The results of the analysis of students' critical thinking skills in the broad-scale test show that they are in the moderately critical category.
