Abstract
Management is a systematic process in carrying out a goals in which there is good planning, direction, controlling, the utilization of existing resources as well as possible so that planned goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The tourist attraction of Dermaga Tepian Mahligai is one of the attractions in Kampar Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the tourist attraction of Dermaga Tepian Mahligai in Pulau Gadang Village, XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency, precisely in the Koto Panjang PLTA Lake area. This research method uses qualitative with data collection techniques used were primary data and secondary data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation which are analyzed by researchers to obtain data. The theory used in this research is George R.terry who argues that management is a typical process consisting of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling. The results of study indicate that the management of the Mahligai Pier tourist attraction is quite good, but the local government must pay more attention to and provide an understanding of tourism development for the manajement of this Dermaga Tepian mahligai touristm attraction. As well as increasing tourism promotion and marketing more intensively by utilizing technology, information, and communication to increase tourist visits.the inhibiliting factors are human resources, and the existing facilities or infrastructure at the tourist attraction. Overall the manager can be said to have been quite good in developing the Dermaga Tepian Mahligai Tourism Object.
