Analisis Rainwater Harvesting Skala Rumah Sederhana Untuk Memenuhi Kebutuhan Air Bersih Di Desa Banglas Barat Meranti
ABSTRACT
Desa Banglas Barat, Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti is one of the villages that have clean water problems when the dry season arrives. This is because the availability of raw water that can be used by the community only comes from rainwater. Geological conditions in Desa Banglas Barat with a pH ranging from 3.1-4.0 and high acidity cause the condition of groundwater to be unfit for consumption. Thus, the community relies on rainwater to fulfil clean water needs, including cooking or drinking purposes. Optimization in Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) with the help of the Rain Cycle v 2.0 simulation program is intended to maximize rainwater storage as a reserve to be used when drought occurs. This program can be run using data on the area of rainwater catchment area, the number of demand needs based on users from each house with simulation results, namely, an area of 20 m2 using 2 tanks, 23 m2 with 3 tanks, 30 m2 with 4 tanks, 39 m2 with 4 tanks, and 47 m2 with 4 tanks, where the dimensions of each tank are 1,000 litres. The lowest rainfall occurred in 2015 with the percentage of rainwater contribution for a rainwater catchment area of 20 m2 in 2015 was 57%, for an area of 23 m2 it was 52.5%, for an area of 30 m2 it was 100%, for an area of 39 m2 it was 86.4%, for an area of 47 m2 it was 100%. The difference in the value of rainfall contribution occurs due to differences in the catchment area, and the number of daily demand needs of all family members, so that the optimal rainfall capture can be known for the needs of all family members during the dry season.
