Analisis Angkutan Sedimen Sungai Sail Kota Pekanbaru Dengan Model 1-D
ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT
Sail River is one of the rivers that flows in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. One of the problems that often occur in rivers is sedimentation. Sedimentation that takes place continuously at the bottom of the river will experience siltation of the river so that it has the potential for flooding due to reduced river storage capacity. This study aims to determine the magnitude and distribution of sediment transport that occurs in the Sail River. This study used HEC-RAS software version 6.2 with a 1-D model to simulate the sediment transport process that occurs with the transport function using the Ackers-White equation, the sorting method using the equation Active Layer, the fall velocity method uses the Van Rijn equation. The duration of the simulation is 100 days with discharge return periods of 2, 5, 10 and 25 years. The simulation results show that there are deposits of sedimentary material scattered along the Sail River section which are reviewed under return period discharge conditions of 2, 5, 10 and 25 years respectively, namely 5,303.305 m3, 4.604,241 m3, 4.151,534 m3, and 3,683,923 m3. The largest sediment deposition occurs at RS 139 (STA 3+450) which is 889.517 m3 on a 2 year return period discharge and the largest erosion occurs at RS 104 (STA 2+575) which is 643.996 m3 on discharge at the 10 year return period. After being analyzed, rivers that experience sediment deposition are caused by the effect of decreasing flow velocity and changes in the cross section of the river in that river segment.
