Analisis Indeks Kinerja Bangunan Pantai Teluk Makmur Kota Dumai
ABSTRACT
One of the efforts that can be undertaken in coastal erosion mitigation is the
construction of coastal protection structures. Coastal buildings serve as
protection for coastal areas from wave potential and sediment transport.
However, over time, coastal protection structures will experience damage due to
erosion and waves. The damage that occurs to coastal buildings can range from
minor cracks to severe damage that renders the coastal building unable to be
function. The objective of this research is to evaluate and examine the physical
condition of coastal buildings and conduct a study on the performance index of
coastal buildings based on the Guidelines of OP SE Minister of Public Works No.
1/SE/M/2011. This study evaluates the performance of coastal protection
structures in Teluk Makmur Village, Dumai City, Sumatra Island, Indonesia, with
a focus on coastal erosion. Utilizing the Coastal Structure Performance Index, the
research assesses the physical condition and functional performance of the
structures. Field surveys provide relevant data. The findings indicate satisfactory
physical conditions with an average performance index ranging from 2 to 3 for
the revetment structures. The evaluation of functional performance offers
recommended actions for each section based on its condition. The study concludes
that the revetment structures effectively maintain coastline stability, supporting
tourism and the fishing industry. The results can guide maintenance and
assessment by relevant authorities, contributing to coastal preservation and
sustainable development planning
