Abstract
This research aims to determine the increase in students' learning activities using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model through the Flipped Classroom strategy. The subjects in this research were 36 students in class XI MIPA 3 SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Each cycle is carried out in 2 meetings with colloid system material. To find out chemistry problems in the classroom, researchers carried out a pre-cycle with teacher interviews and observations of the learning process. The problem found is that in learning activities, students are still very poor in responding, giving opinions, asking questions, doing practice questions and discussing in groups. Students are not yet able to understand the concept of chemistry learning so that in questioning and communicating activities, many do not use this opportunity. This has an impact on unsatisfactory learning outcomes. Therefore, the solution to this problem is to carry out PTK. Observations on the implementation of PTK were collected through several instruments, namely observation sheets and tests. The observation data is then calculated in percentage form, including observation data on student activities, teacher activities and student learning outcomes. The results of data analysis show that there is an influence of implementing the PBL learning model through the Flipped Classroom strategy on students' learning activities so that it has a good impact on students' learning outcomes. With the classical completion results obtained, namely a percentage of 58.33% in cycle I and 86.11 in cycle II, which means there is an increase in the number of students who have completed chemistry learning in class XI MIPA 3 SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.
