Mediamorfosis Green Radio Line Dalam Menerapkan Jurnalisme Lingkungan Di Era Digital Skripsi
The development of communication technology has pushed conventional media, including radio, to adapt to the digital era. One of the media that has undergone digital transformation is Green Radio Line, a digital radio-based media focused on environmental journalism. Facing the challenges of keeping up with the rapid evolution of technology and an audience that is increasingly critical of environmental issues, this media must be able to adapt to changes in technology (coevolution), integrate various platforms to reach a wider audience (convergence), and at the same time manage highly complex and diverse information about environmental issues (complexity). This research aims to analyze the process of mediamorphosis at Green Radio Line in implementing environmental journalism in the digital era using the mediamorphosis theory by Roger Fidler, which includes three main stages: coevolution, convergence, and complexity.
This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research informants consisted of seven people, three internal Green Radio Line members, and four external parties consisting of stakeholders and listeners of Green Radio Line. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique involves four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research uses source triangulation and time triangulation as techniques for data validity checks.
The results of the study show that the mediamorphosis carried out by this media goes through three stages: the coevolution stage, where Green Radio Line underwent a shift from a frequency-based media to a digital media due to economic pressure and technological development. In the convergence stage, the media successfully integrated various digital platforms such as websites, social media, and streaming services to expand their audience reach. Meanwhile, in the complexity stage, Green Radio Line faces challenges in aspects of funding, data-based content production, and competition with other digital media that rely more on clickbait
