Efektivitas Programmagang Bersertifikat Dalam Meningkatkan Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Riau
The increasingly competitive demands of the world of work require that university graduates not only have academic knowledge, but also practical experience that is relevant to industry needs. To answer this challenge, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology launched the Certified Internship Program as part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Certified Internship Program in improving the work readiness of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The analysis was conducted using five indicators of program effectiveness according to Sutrisno's theory, namely program understanding, accuracy of targets, timeliness, achievement of goals, and real changes. The results showed that the Certified Internship Program has not been fully effective. Although students understand the purpose of the program and obtain benefits such as increased skills and professional relationships, there are still various obstacles such as delays in the selection and administrative process, uneven program socialization, and the mismatch of internship positions with the field of study. These findings are expected to be an input for the development of internship programs in the future to be more suitable and adaptive to the needs of the job market.
