Universitas Riau – F.Teknik – Elektroanalisis Dan Evaluasi Kriteria Green Building Pada Gedung Health Studies Complex Menggunakan Perangkat Penilaian Greenship New Building Versi 1.2
ABSTRACT
Implementation of development on a project scale has great potential for environmental damage to occur. The building and construction sector contributed approximately 32% of global energy consumption and 34% of energy-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in 2023. There has been an increase in the average daily temperature of at least 0.74ºC per year over the past two decades with the most pronounced impacts on land. The concept of green building has many benefits, including more durable buildings, energy efficient, minimizing building maintenance costs, more comfortable for activities and occupancy, and healthier for building users. Buildings that have been certified as green buildings will cost more at the beginning but will provide savings of 5-20% of building maintenance costs. This study aims to analyse and evaluate the implementation of green building in the Health Studies Complex (HSC) Building Riau University using Rating Tool the Greenship New Building Version 1.2 with mixed research methods between quantitative research methods and descriptive research methods. The HSC Building, University of Riau has met all building eligibility criteria along with 3 prerequisite criteria, namely ASD, MRC, and IHC. The total actual achievement of the implementation of green building for the HSC Building is 18 points (18%), where this figure has not reached the minimum value to obtain a bronze rating. After conducting an evaluation and providing recommendations for potential improvements, there was an increase in the total score to 55 points (55%) so that the HSC Building has the potential to obtain a silver rating.
