Analisis Kerusakan Pada Pompa Melalui Vibrasi Dengan Menggunakan Metode Elemen Hingga
ABSTRACT
Pumps are used to transfer liquid fluids from high pressure to lower pressure. Pumps are used as auxiliary equipment for water supply in production processes. The use of pumps by PT. PLN Nusantara Power UP Tenayan in supporting the process includes, among other things, cooling turbines through a closed cooling system using demineralized water. The operation of the pumps must always be monitored and supervised to ensure they remain in good condition for performing a series of activities in electricity generation. In this study, vibration analysis was conducted through direct measurements, as vibration is the easiest method to detect damage occurring in machinery. Vibration measurements were taken using the Emerson CSI 2140 device, yielding vibration spectra based on the pump's condition. The vibration standards used were ISO 10816–3. Additionally, vibration simulation was performed on the CCWP 2A (Close Cooling Water Pump) using the finite element method to identify the cause of damage to the pump shaft, which resulted in vibration in the pump, and to determine the characteristics of the pump shaft according to the actual conditions of the pump. After vibration measurements were taken, the highest RMS (Root Mean Square) values were found to be 6.3 mm/s; 7.5 mm/s; 2.8 mm/s; and 3.4 mm/s in each area. The high vibration values exceeded the set limit of 3.5 mm/s. The conditions observed in the pump based on the measurement results include unbalance, misalignment, bent shaft, structural looseness, and cavitation. Based on the finite element simulation results using Ansys software, unbalance was identified based on the actual conditions of the pump, where an amplitude of 1 x RPM appeared in the radial direction.
