Evaluasi Kinerja Simpang Empat Bersinyal Menggunakan Vissim (Studi Kasus: Simpang Jalan Lobak, Jalan Srikandi, Jalan Melati Indah, Jalan Delima)
ABSTRACT
Traffic congestion is a common problem in urban areas, particularly at intersections with high vehicle volumes. One such intersection experiencing congestion issues is the signalized four-leg intersection of Jalan Lobak, Jalan Srikandi, Jalan Melati Indah, and Jalan Delima in the city of Pekanbaru. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the intersection, identify influencing factors, and simulate traffic conditions using the VISSIM software. The method used includes field surveys to collect data on road geometry, traffic volume, signal cycle, queue length, and vehicle speed. The data were analyzed using VISSIM to model existing conditions and measure performance parameters such as degree of saturation, queue length, and delay. The analysis results show that the highest traffic volume occurred on Thursday at 07.00 – 08.00 AM with 1,801 pcu/hour. The highest degree of saturation was recorded on Jalan Melati Indah at 0.987, with a maximum queue length of 192 meters and an average delay of 5,376.791 seconds/vehicle, indicating Level of Service (LOS) F. Overall, the intersection shows a high degree of saturation, particularly on the Melati approach. Simulation with VISSIM has proven effective in illustrating traffic conditions and serves as a useful tool in planning traffic system improvements.
