Evaluasi Dimensi Saluran Drainase Jalan Suka Karya Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru Menggunakan Storm Water Management Model 5.2 (Swmm)
ABSTRACT
Flooding is a major problem that has the potential to occur during the rainy season. The re-planning of drainage channel dimensions in the Jalan Suka Karya km 0-km 2.7 Area can be used as an effort to control flooding problems. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the existing conditions of drainage channels that cause flooding in the research location and determine alternative solutions if the existing conditions of the drainage channels are unable to accommodate the discharge of rainwater runoff. The hydrological analysis of this plan uses the Log Person III probability distribution and uses a 5-year return period. The EPA SWMM 5.2 auxiliary program is used to analyze flood problems at the research location. Flooding problems that occur at the research site occur due to problems with non-uniform channel dimensions and materials, as well as sedimentation on the surface of drainage channels. Land use conditions in the form of densely populated residential Areas cause some drainage channels at the research site to be covered by construction buildings that are part of the road shoulder so that the drainage system cannot accommodate and channel excess water optimally. Based on the evaluation results of the EPA SWMM 5.2 auxiliary program by re-planning the dimensions of the drainage channel can overcome flooding problems at the research location. The drainage channel uses concrete with dimensions of 0.8 m x 1.6 m.
