THE FUNCTION OF DIRECTIVE SPEECH ACT OF ADVISING IN USTAZAH YUNDA FAISYAH'S INSTSGRAM ACCOUNT AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR LEARNING INDONESIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract: A communication activity can take place smoothly and effectively if the two parties involved do not make mistakes when understanding a speech. Speech acts that are considered a form of communication are not things that can happen on their own, but have certain purposes, functions, and goals, and can have an impact on the speaking partner to do something. This study aims to describe the function of the act of speaking directives advising in the lecture of Ustazah Yunda Faisyah's Instagram account. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a pragmatic approach. The data collection technique uses the form of a look and note technique. The data analysis process of this study uses data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the data analysis carried out, it was found that there were 128 data on the function of advising directive speech in the form of the function of advocating, suggesting, directing, calling, appealing, reminding, encouraging, proposing, counseling. From the findings of the use of directive speech act functions of advising the most, namely, reminding. While the least function is found in the form of the function of calling out. The implications of the results of this study help students in developing polite and persuasive speaking skills.
