Pembuatan Komponen Pendukung Generator Set
ABSTRACT
Generator sets (gensets) are one of the main sources for generating electrical energy, especially in areas not yet covered by the main electricity grid. Optimal generator set performance depends heavily on the stability and balance of its components. This research aims to design and manufacture generator set supporting components that can improve operational stability, energy efficiency, and overall system durability. The main components developed include the shaft, plate base, and dynamo mount, which are designed to reduce vibration, maintain balance, and maximize the transmission of mechanical energy to electrical energy. By modifying the design of supporting components in existing generator sets, it is expected to reduce the risk of damage, extend the generator's operational life, and lower maintenance and component replacement costs. In addition, increased energy efficiency will produce more electricity with fewer resources, supporting the sustainable use of electrical energy in various sectors. The results of the manufacture of these components are expected to make a significant contribution to the performance and efficiency of generator sets, as well as increase product competitiveness in an increasingly growing market.
