Pertumbuhan Dan Kelulushidupan Ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius Hypopthalamus) Pada Sistem Akuaponik Dengan Kepadatan Kangkung Yang Berbeda
This research was conducted in May 11th to June 24th 2017 in the Technical Implementation Unit (TIU) of Breeding Marine and Fisheries Faculty, University of Riau. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of different density of (Ipomoea reptana) toward the growth performance and survival rate of (Pangasius hypopthalamus) using aquaponic system. This research was using 5 -7 cm of (Pangasius hypopthalamus) and 7-10 days old of Ipomoea reptana. The tanks were made by a plastic tarpaulin (50 x 50 x 50 cm3 )for 15 units. The channel for filtration made by plastic with 14,2 L of its water volume for 3 units/tank. The method used in this research was the experimental method of completely randomized design (CRD) using one factor with 5 treatments and 3 replications.
The best result was in P5 (50 stems/tanks of Ipomoea reptana) with 9,30 gram of absolute growth weight, 10,18 cm of absolute growth length, 98,90% of survival rate (not different significantly), and 4,74% of specific growth rate. The water quality measurements were 01 – 0.071 mg/l of ammonia, 0.03 – 0.94 mg/ of nitrites (NO2), 0.42 – 1.46 mg/l of nitrates (NO3), 6 – 7 of pH, 3.11 – 5.66 mg/l of DO, 6.92 - 11.20 mg/l of CO2, 27 - 29 oC of temperature respectively. The growth weight of filter plants Ipomoea reptana was 12.15 g, and the average growth length of (Ipomoea reptana) was 13.67 cm.
