Identifikasi Senyawa Metabolit Sekunder Hasil Ekstraksidengan Heksan Dan Metanol Dari Teripang Pasir (Holothuria Scabra)
This research aims to determine the chemical content and active compounds contained in sea cucumber (Holothuria scabra) meat extract using hexane and methanol solvent. The research method used is the experimental method of identifying secondary metabolite compounds on the sea cucumber meat using hexane and methanol solvent. The results showed that the chemical contents of fresh sea cucumber meat are protein 78.55% (DW), moisture 78.83% (WW), fat 4.91% (DW), ash 0.07% (DW), and carbohydrate 9.97% (DW). The chemicals content of flour sea cucumber are protein 81.24% (DW), moisture 10.12% (WW), fat 0.58% (DW), ash 0.13% (DW), and carbohydrate 5.67% (DW). The secondary metabolite compounds contained in fresh sea cucumber meat extracted with hexane solvents are saponin, alkaloid, and steroid, while with methanol solvent is null. In the test by thin layer chromatography (TLC), the best extract of sea cucumber meat is obtained using hexane solvent with ratio of eluent hexane:chloroform (6:4) has the highest Rf value 0.54 cm, and through FTIR spectroscopy test the functional groups is obtained on secondary metabolite compounds which N-H, O-H, C-H, C=O, C=C, and C-O.
