Kemampuan Literasi Dasar Melalui Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) Di SDN 6 Pekanbaru
School literacy movements are government policies in overcoming the problem of education and to improve basic literacy skills of learners, SDN 6 Pekanbaru including one of the schools that have implemented GLS at the stage of habituation well. Therefore, this study aims to determine the basic literacy skills of students in lower classes through the implementation of SDN 6 GLS in Pekanbaru. This study uses qualitative research conducted through observation and interviews with teachers and learners in the class I and II related to the implementation of the GLS and basic literacy skills of learners. The results showed that GLS can increase the phonetic ability learners with the ability to read and recite the achievement of a combination of letters that are on the criteria very well. Improving the ability of understanding the vocabulary of learners seen as most learners are able to know the meaning of words and reading a book recounting the contents of the daily activities. From the analysis concluded that the GLS improve basic literacy skills of learners low grade in SDN 6 Pekanbaru.
