Simulasi Termodinamika Gasifikasi Black Liquor Kayu Akasia Proses Pulp Larut Kraft
The pulp industry in Riau produces 8.5 million tons of black liquor/year, a biomass with heat value to 13.8 MJ/kg. One of the black liquor technology processing is gasification that can produce fuel gas medium type. The purpose of this research was study the factors and parameters that influence the process of black liquor gasification by simulating gasification process in entrained flow gasifier using gasification agent of oxygen. Some stages are used to show the entire process of gasification i.e. pyrolysis of black liquor, combustion of volatile matter, gasification of char and gas-solid separation. In this simulation used black liquor with ultimate value (dry basis): 34,0% C; 3,2% H; 4,8% S; 35,8% O, 18,2% Na; 3,1% K; 0,1% N and proximate value (dry basis): water content 19.3%, volatile matter 38.3%, fixed carbon 11.8%, ash 30.6%. Variable of research are temperature 600-1200oC, equivalent ratio 0.2-0.5 and pressure 1-35 atm. Simulation at pressure 15 Atm, equivalent ratio 0.5, increased temperature will produce more syngas (41.2-61.1%), reduce conversion of CH4 (8.96-6.07%) and CO2 (9,28-3,53%). Equivalent ratio is factor that very influential of gasification process temperature, optimum between 04-0.5. Increased the operating pressure of the gasifier not significantly affect the composition of the syngas, but high-pressure operation to consider the use of a more effective and efficient so as to reduce the cost of investment, pressure optimum between 10-15 atm.
