Komunikasi Instruksional Guru Ekstrakurikuler Musik Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Penggunaan Alat Musik Di Sma Negeri 1 Kerumutan Kabupaten Pelalawan
SMA Negeri 1 Kerumutan is one of the high schools in Kerumutan District. When viewed from the location of this school, it is indeed far from the city crowd. Located in Bukit Garam Hamlet, Kerumutan Village. But that doesn't make the name SMAN 1 Kerumutan drown. Music extracurricular is one of the additional learning activities at SMAN 1 Kerumutan whose existence is starting to be taken into account, not only by students of SMAN 1 Kerumutan, but also from other schools that are competitors in a competition. This is different from extracurricular activities in other schools, which mostly carry modern musical instruments. The extracurricular at SMAN 1 Kerumutan combines modern musical instruments with Malay music such as accordion, bebano, kompang and also Tambur which are then combined with guitar. Piano as well as drums. The purpose of this study was to determine the instructional communication of music extracurricular teachers in improving the ability to use musical instruments at SMAN 1 Kerumutan which can be seen from the methods, messages, media, and obstacles during the teaching process used by music extracurricular teachers.
This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were teachers who taught extracurricular music and students who were attending SMAN 1 Kerumutan and were taking music extracurricular activities. While the object of this research is the instructional communication of music extracurricular teachers in developing student talents at SMAN 1 Kerumutan. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used an interactive data analysis model. In achieving the validity of the data in this study, the authors used persistence of observation and triangulation.
The results showed that instructional communication by music extracurricular teachers used programmed instructional methods, simulation methods, discussion methods and training methods. Where the use of this method is felt effective in teaching students about music. Instructional communication messages are in the form of informative messages and persuasive messages. This message is the key for a teacher to be able to carry out good instructional communication to students. The media used are audio media (songs, sound systems, and mobile phones), visual media (whiteboards, markers, cord books (book of musical keys) and pens), and audiovisual media (cellphones and musical instruments themselves such as guitars, pianos. , drums, drums, bebano, and tambourines). The media above support the implementation of good instructional communication between teachers and students. However, several things often happen that hinder the communication process.
