Strategi Komunikasi Dinas Kebudayaan Dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Dalam Meningkatkan Jumlah Kunjungan Wisatawan Pada Air Terjun Guruh Gemurai
Kuantan Singingi Regency is an area that is rich in culture and tradition as well as tourism objects, one of which is the waterfall of guruh gemurai. Tourism competition between regions is increasingly competitive lately, to be able to compete, effective strategies are needed to develop the potential and uniqueness of the region in order to compete with other regions. For this reason it is necessary to increase the number of visitors to tourism objects, so as not to fade and lose to other tourism objects. Promoting this tourism object is considered to be the right strategy to be run by the Kuantan Singingi Regency Culture and Tourism Agency to develop existing tourism and attract the attention of local and foreign tourists to come to Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the Kuantan Singingi District Culture and Tourism Office in increasing the number of tourist visits to Guruh Gemurai waterfall.
The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. This qualitative research aims to explain phenomena through data collection. The technique of collecting data is divided into 3, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are from data collection, data presentation, data exposure and data processing. And the data validity technique is divided into two, namely triagulation and extension of participation. With the number of informants as many as 5 informants who were interviewed.
The result of this research is that the determination of the audience is based on the chosen target, for the determination of the audience first the identification between local tourists and foreign tourists. The message strategy used is persuasive and informative which is very interesting and includes logos or images. The use of media used by the Kuantan Singingi Regency Culture and Tourism Office in increasing the number of tourists visiting the waterfalls of guruh gemurai through electronic media, print media, online media and print promotion media such as banners and billboards.
