This research aims to (1) To determine the level of intensity of parental communication in Pangkalan Kerinci Kota Subdistrict (2), To determine the level of juvenile delinquency in Pangkalan Kerinci Kota Subdistrict (3), To determine the level of influence of parental communication intensity on juvenile delinquency in the Subdistrict Kerinci City Base
This type of research is quantitative, ex-post facto, namely a type of research where the independent variable is an event that has already happened, then traces backwards to find out the factors that could have caused the event. The population in this study was 1,676 teenagers from Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency. In taking samples using the Simple Random Sampling method. So, the sample in this study was 94 teenagers in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency. with an error level of 10% using the Slovin Formula. Then instrument testing will be carried out on 30 children aged 12-15 years in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency.
The data collection method in this research uses: (1) observation (2) documentation (3) questionnaire. The research instrument consists of two forms of questionnaire consisting of: 1) Juvenile Delinquency, 2) Communication Intensity questionnaire. The research instrument goes through several stages, namely: 1) reviewing all theories related to the variables to be studied, 2) compiling indicators for each variable, 3) compiling a grid, 4) compiling statement items and determining a measurement scale, 5 ) trial of the instrument, 6) analysis of the question items by testing the validity and reliability of each statement item. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis.
Based on the analysis of demographic factors of respondents, Communication Intensity in Teenagers, Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency, high results were obtained, namely with a mean of 3.71. This proves that demographic factors (gender and age) can determine the high and low levels of Communication Intensity in Teenagers. Then, analyzing the demographic factors of Juvenile Delinquency respondents obtained high results, namely with a mean of 3.82, this proves that demographic factors (gender and age) can determine the level of Juvenile Delinquency applied. Descriptive analysis based on variables obtained the level of Communication Intensity of Teenagers in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency with a mean of 3.71 which is in the high interpretation.
Based on the variables, it was obtained that Juvenile Delinquency in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency had a mean size of 3.82 which was in the high interpretation. A significant influence was obtained between the variables Communication Intensity (X) Juvenile Delinquency (Y) in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency, with a large influence of 25.1% with a low interpretation, because there was still 74.9% determined by other factors. and was not part of this research
