Analisis Perubahan Morfologi Sungai Kampar Menggunakan Citra Satelit Dan Google Earth Engine (Gee)
ABTRACT
The Kampar River is a river that originates in the Bukit Barisan around West Sumatra and empties into the east coast of Sumatra Island in the Riau Province. The Kampar River is a natural resource that is widely used for the needs of the population such as fisheries cultivation, tourist attractions, livelihoods, irrigation, residential areas and others. This study aims to detect and analyze changes in the morphology of the Kampar River, Riau Province, Indonesia using Satellite Imagery and Google Earth Engine (GEE). This approach is very effective because it will save time, costs and labor. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method from the results of Landsat and GEE image digitization. The results of this study as a whole. In the period 1989-2023, the upstream segment experienced erosion with a total area of 39,583 Ha and Sedimentation with an area of 36,478 Ha. In the middle segment, in the period 1989-2023 the river experienced erosion with a total value of 70,062 Ha and sedimentation of 25,264 Ha. And in the downstream segment in the period 1989-2023 the river experienced erosion with a total value of 1060,118 Ha and sedimentation of 1482,022 Ha. In the upstream segment, the largest shift distance occurred in 1989-2000, which was 311,440 m with a shift rate of 28,313 m/year. In the middle segment, the largest shift distance occurred in 2000-2011, which was 161,057 m with a shift rate of 14,642 m/year. And in the downstream segment, the largest shift distance occurred in 1989-2000, which was 1095,859 m with a shift rate of 99,624 m/year. The existence of the Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir has an effect on reducing the value of erosion and sedimentation in the upstream segment of the Kampar River.
