Analisis Penerapan Metode Systematic Layout Planning, Kaizen Dan 5s Untuk Peningkatan Produktivitas (Studi Kasus : Cv. Mutya)

ABSTRACT
CV. Mutya is an SME scale company (Small and Medium Enterprises) which is
engaged in wood processing of wooden pallets. Among companies, the production
of wooden pallets is used as storage for logistics goods. The problem that occurs
in this company is the amount of productivity that does not meet the target
demand. This happens because the distance of the Material flow is far. In
addition, poor work processes also affect the amount of productivity. Therefore, it
is necessary to improve the reorganization of facilities and improve work
processes at CV. Mutya. The systematic layout planning (SLP) method is used to
improve the facility layout at CV. Mutya. To improve the work process is used the
kaizen and 5S methods. The Material transfer flow distance in the initial layout of
CV. Mutya was 47.8 meters. Then after designing a new layout, the Material
displacement flow distance was 41.5 meters. Furthermore, the facility layout
design at CV. Mutya was made with the inventor application. In the kaizen
method, to find out the root of the problem that occurs was employed the cause
and effect analysis and work improvement using 5W + 1H. The 5S method was
used to improve the conditions of the work environment and change attitudes by
applying arrangement, cleanliness and discipline in the workplace. The concept of
5S is a culture of how a person treats the workplace properly. If the workplace is
neat, clean and orderly, it is easy to create individual work facilities.
