Pengaruh Supervisi Akademik Kepala Sekolah Dan Pengembangan Diri Guru Terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru SD Negeri Se-Kecamatan Rupat Utara Kabupaten Bengkalis
The achievement of educational success in schools is largely determined by the
performance of teachers. A teacher must have the ability to design learning programs and be
able to manage learning so that students can learn optimally. Teacher performance in learning
can also be seen from the achievements of students. Good teacher performance will produce
good student achievement as well. In the implementation of learning, not all teachers have the
performance required by the teaching profession ideally.
In this study, the research design used was quantitative research. Basically, a
quantitative approach is used for inferential research, namely in the context of testing
hypotheses and relying on the conclusions of the results on a null probability of rejecting the
hypothesis. The method used in this study is correlational with the aim of detecting the
relationship between research variables or interrelated factors based on the correlation
coefficient. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the following conclusions are obtained:
The proportion of the proposed hypothesis is completely acceptable, because based on
hypothesis testing the independent and dependent variables are statistically significant. The
sample in this study were teachers at SDN Se, North Rupat sub-district, amounting to 88
people.
Based on the research that has been done, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1)
There is a significant and positive influence between the variables of the Principal's
Academic Supervision on the Professional Competence of teachers at SDN Rupat Utara
District. The higher the level of academic supervision of the principal, the better the
professional competence possessed by a teacher. 2) There is a significant and positive effect
between the variables of Teacher Self Development on the Professional Competence of
teachers at SDN Rupat Utara District. The higher the level of teacher self-development, the
higher the professional competence possessed by a teacher. 3) There is a significant and
positive influence between the variables of the Principal's Academic Supervision and the
teacher's self-development on the Professional Competence of teachers at SDN Rupat Utara
District. The higher the level of academic supervision of the principal and the teacher's selfdevelopment,
the better the professional competence of a teacher.
