Penggunaan Limbah Abu Kapur Tohor Sebagai Filler Dalam Campuran Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (Ac-Bc) Menggunakan Uji Karakteristik Marshall
ABSTRACT
In highway pavements, filler has the smallest percentage compared to coarse and fine
aggregates, but has a significant effect on the road pavement mixture, because the filler
fills air voids in the highway pavement mixture with grain size passing the number 200
filter. are portland cement, lime, rock ash and ash from the combustion of quicklime. The
quicklime used in this study is a waste material produced by PT. Indah Kiat Pulp Paper
for paper making and lime raw material itself comes from West Sumatra, has a high
potential as a filler in pavement mixtures because it has a fine particle size and contains
pozzolanic elements. In this study, the determination of the optimum asphalt content (KAO)
was carried out at 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6% and 6.5% asphalt content. The proportions of
quicklime waste used were 0%, 50%, and 100% of the weight of the filler. The
specifications used are the General Specifications of Highways 2018 (Revision 2 of 2020)
using the Marshall method. The results of this study indicate that the AC-BC mixture using
quicklime waste as a filler has a better stability value than 0% quicklime waste. The highest
stability value is found in the 100% lime percentage, which is 909.8 kg. The recommended
lime percentage for the AC-BC mixture that meets the specifications is 100% because it
has stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, MQ values that meet the General Specifications of
Highways 2018 (Revision 2 of 2020).
