Kinerja Dinas Sosial Provinsi Riau (Studi Kasus : Pemulangan Orang Terlantar Di Kota Pekanbaru)

Pekanbaru is the capital of Riau Province which has the attractiveness
and potential for high employment opportunities and promising salaries. With
high attractiveness and a promising salary makes everyone to be interested in
traveling to Pekanbaru City. The number of nomads who come of course the
number of residents in Pekanbaru City will increase and have a special impact on
social welfare. This can be seen from people who do not have a job to have an
impact such as abandonment. Abandonment is an unexpected social disaster, the
cause of abandonment is generally those who experience work fraud so that they
do not have family, power and effort to continue life in the country. Riau
Provincial Social Service is present to facilitate displaced people who want to
return home for the repatriation of displaced people to their hometowns. This
research aims to find out the Performance of The Riau Provincial Social Service
(Case Study: Repatriation of Displaced Persons in City Pekanbarru). Theoretical
concept using on this study the performance of public organizations by
Kumorotomo 2010. This research method is a qualitative method with a
descriptive approach through interview, observation, and documentation
activities. The results of the study are in the implementation of the Performance of
the Riau Provincial Social Service (Case Study: Repatriation of Displaced
Persons in Pekanbaru City) there are still obstacles in their services so that
displaced people who want to be repatriated must wait to be processed due to lack
of human resources in the implementation of their services such as the
acidification of individual data from displaced persons who want to be
repatriated. In addition, the facilities and infrastructure for the repatriation of
displaced people are still inadequate such as waiting posts that are only 3x4 in
size and only based on plastic mats.
