ABSTRACT
Pekanbaru City has an area of 632.27 km2 which is divided into 15 sub-districts
and 83 urban villages, with a total population of 983,356 people and a population
density of 1,555 km2. Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution is classified as Jalan Collector.
The length of Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution is 6.8 km with a width of 6 meters per
lane and has a 4-lane 2-way divided road type. The survey was carried out on
Monday, Thursday and Saturday. From the calculation of daily traffic volume on
Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, the highest total traffic volume occurred on Monday,
November 22, 2021, at 16.00-17.00 WIB with the total volume of vehicles being
2,142.35 pcu/hour. From the results of research and discussions that have been
carried out, it can be seen that the peak hour of Traffic Volume is 4,453
vehicles/hour or 2,142.35 pcu/hour and the road capacity is 3,050.26 pcu/hour, the
value of the degree of saturation (DS) on the segment of the road that reviewed
along 300 m is 0.70 and has not reached the saturation limit.
