Penerapan Folding Architecture Pada Perancangan Mal Pelayanan Publik Di Kuantan Singingi

ABSTRACT
Kuantan Singingi Regency has 13 sub-districts, with the middle Kuantan subdistrict
being the center of government. In Kuantan Singingi Regency, there are
several government agencies. However, public services in these agencies have not
been carried out optimally because the offices are currently still separated which
makes the public do not feel the ease and comfort of getting public services. From
these problems, we need a forum that is able to accommodate various public
service facilities for the community, which prioritizes user satisfaction with public
services that are easy, fast and uncomplicated. The solution to this problem is the
design of a Public Service Mall in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The approach
applied in the design of this Public Service Mall is Folding Architecture, which is
a method of searching for forms that focuses on an exploration process and a
process of searching for forms. The selection of the Fold Architecture theme
focuses on exploring and communicative forms on the object of the Public Service
Mall so that it can be understood both visually and intuitively in providing
services to the Kuantan Singingi community. The results of the Public Service
Mall apply the transformation of the letter fold character shape as the result of
the shape search. This creates a highlight of the building's function as a service to
the community in Kuantan Singingi.
