ABSTRACT
Planetarium is a theater building related to the study of astronomy which is
equipped with a simulation of the movement of the arrangement of stars and
celestial bodies. Astronomy studies celestial bodies and celestial natural
phenomena, but is not taught in general in schools. Pekanbaru as a city that is
developing and is required to be able to increase human resources in the field of
science and technology certainly requires facilities that can support science,
especially in the field of astronomy. Planetarium as a learning medium for
astronomy that is educative and recreational in nature and can be used as an
educational tourism destination that can attract interest and be accepted by all
groups. In designing this Planetarium using a Biomorphic that adopts nature as a
design strategy both in the form of buildings and building structures. In the design
of this planetarium, building and landscape formations adopt natural patterns
formed from the movement of celestial bodies, namely black holes studied in
astronomy.
