Analisis Alokasi Air Daerah Aliran Sungai Tapung Kiri
ABSTRACT
The need for water is the main component in life. Excessive and uncontrolled use
of water can affect the quality and quantity of water and cause a decrease in water
supply. Water as a natural resource has limitations in terms of quantity and quality.
Given these limitations, the potential for water availability must be utilized as well
as possible. The allocation of water resources is carried out to manage the
availability of limited water resources between water use sectors based on fair,
effective, and sustainable principles in an area. This study aims to determine the
water balance in the Tapung Kiri River Basin. In addition, this study also aims to
determine the allocation of water in the Tapung Kiri River Basin for several
purposes according to technical recommendations from the relevant agencies. This
research uses descriptive analytical method. The calculation of the water
availability discharge is carried out using the regional method. Water balance
analysis was carried out with 3 scenarios, namely dry season scenario, normal
season scenario, and wet season scenario. The results of the water balance analysis
show that the availability of water at the location of water users is able to meet the
needs of water users, so there is no need for allocation. However, at the time of
implementation, river managers need to regulate implementation management and
there needs to be a thorough evaluation of the planning and implementation of
water allocation
