Efektivitas Model Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar
The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the contextual teaching and learning model to improve social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school. In this study, the type of approach used is experimental methods. The subjects of this study were students of class VA at SDN 189 Pekanbaru as the control class and class VB students as the experimental class. This study uses a contextual teaching and learning model in the experimental class and conventional models in the control class. The results showed that the pretest data for the control class got of 49.25 and the pretest was 67.75. In the experimental class the results of the pretest got of 57.25 and the posttest results were 83.75. The calculation of the hypothesis test obtained the results of sig (2-tailed) 0.010 < 0.050 which indicates that the contextual teaching and learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school. Based on the results of n-gain test, it was found the experimental class learning outcomes increased by 66.7%. It was concluded that the contextual teaching and learning model was effective in improving social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school.
