Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Dan Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru Terhadap Produktivitas Sekolah Di SMA Kecamatan Rengat
This research was motivated by the Productivity of Senior High School in Rengat District, which differed in average and experienced a decrease in accreditation scores, but were still in a good category because each school was accredited A. This data was obtained from the National Accreditation Board. Schools/Madrasahs and the Indonesian Ministry of Education & Culture.
In addition, the results of discussions with several high school teachers in Rengat district, showed that not all teachers: (1) prepare learning as much as possible, (2) Faithfully compose syllabus and lesson plans (The preparation of lesson plans and syllabus only occurs if the teacher knows there will be a visit from the supervisor ), (3) using varied and innovative methods, (4) accepting and being able to deal with various characters of various students (5) having work motivation due to lack of leadership support.
Furthermore, (6) not all teachers have good cooperation skills between teachers and principals as well as fellow teachers, (7) have a high loyalty attitude (8) understand the use of science and technology (9) accept the leadership style of the principal who leads. This explains that not all high school teachers in Rengat district have the competencies as mandated in the law. In addition, the quality of the principal with the style of the principal also determines the quality of teachers and the quality of schools. This certainly affects school productivity.
This study aims to analyze the data and obtain information whether there is a significant and partially positive effect between the principal's leadership style (X1) on school productivity (Y), teacher pedagogic competence (X2) on school productivity (Y), and simultaneously between Principal leadership style (X1) and teacher pedagogic competence (X2) on school productivity (Y) in Rengat district.
This research is a quantitative research, the type of data taken is primary data that comes from the X1 & Y questionnaire instrument while for the X2 variable using a test instrument. The population in this study were the principals & high school teachers in Rengat District, totaling 120 respondents. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique with a total sample of 93 respondents. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis, inferential analysis (classical assumption test), then continued with multiple linear regression test.
Based on the results of the research that has been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the principal's leadership style has a positive and significant effect on school productivity of Senior High School in Rengat district, with an influence value of 12.9% and 87.1% influenced by other variables. These results explain that the better the principal's leadership style is implemented, the better it can affect and increase school productivity of Senior High School in Rengat district.
Then, the pedagogic competence of teachers has a positive and significant effect on school productivity of Senior High School in Rengat district with an influence value of 7% and the other 93% is influenced by other factors. These results explain that the better the pedagogic competencies that teachers have, the better the productivity of Senior High School in Rengat district will be. Besides that,The principal's leadership style and the teacher's pedagogic competence have a simultaneous or joint effect on school productivity of Senior High School in Rengat district with an influence value of 13.3% and 86.7% influenced by other factors that have more and more direct influence.
