Evaluasi Kinerja Kepala Sekolah Masa Pandemi Corona Virus Disiase ( Covid-19 ) Di Kecamatan Tanah Putih Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of school
principals during the COVID-19 pandemic in Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir
Regency. The method used in this research is interview, observation and
Documentation. The population and sample are principals in four schools who
are representatives from each cluster. Based on the results of the research and
discussion that have been presented, the conclusions of this study are as follows:
(1) The impact of online learning involves all relevant parties such as students,
teachers, parents, school principals, and school committees. In this case, the role
of the principal is very important in monitoring and maintaining the efficiency of
teaching and learning quality for students during the pandemic outbreak. The
readiness and fast movement of the principal and the ability of the principal in
creating a conducive and communicative atmosphere at school are very important
factors in supporting the smooth teaching and learning process in schools. (2) In
this case, the effectiveness of the principal's performance is very much needed in
accordance with the circular letter of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 3
of 2020 concerning Steps to Prevent Covid 19 in Education Units and SE of the
Minister of Education and Culture No. 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation
of Education in the Covid 19 Emergency Period which aims to provide guidance
for Principal. In carrying out the duties and functions of school principals during
the Covid-19 pandemic while still paying attention to health protocols, they
determine the continuity of the effectiveness of the quality of learning carried out.
(3) From this study it can be concluded that the principals in the four schools
studied were able to carry out their duties properly and effectively according to
government directives, the principals in the four schools studied were considered
alert and innovative and effective in taking appropriate actions and decisions in
tackling problems that arise. experienced by the school he leads in the online
teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic and this should be
appreciated.
