ABSTRACT
ANALYSIS FRAMING OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION OF ISLAM IN DATARIAU.COM AND REPUBLIKA ONLINE

Datariau.com and Republika Online are online media that often provide news about religious moderation, especially about Islam. This is done to reduce intolerance and violence in religion. This study aims to see how Datariau.com and Republika Online in constructing religious moderation news.
This research uses qualitative research methods and is analyzed with the theory of framing Robert N. Entman. The objects in this study are news texts about religious moderation in Datariau.com as many as 9 news and Republika Online as many as 11 news. Data was collected through observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis technique by appreciating the object of research as the first step to understanding the news, dissecting the object of research, and combining it with supporting data. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses diligent observation, triangulation, and checking through discussion.
This study uses Robert N. Entman's Framing Analysis, the results of this study are as follows: Define Problems, Datariau.com and Republika Online have different views on the same event, resulting in different news. But still produce positive news. Diagnose Causes, Datariau.com and Republika Online both explained where the source of the problem of an event occurred or how an event occurred so that news about religious moderation emerged. Make Moral Judgment, religious moderation news on Datariau.com and Republika Online can have a positive impact on religious communities. In addition, it also teaches howto live in religion, tolerance, commitment to the state and be patient in accepting a trial that occurs. Treatment Recommendation, the author concludes that every religious moderation news on Datriau.com and Republika Online always provides a solution to a problem that occurs. The problem solving given is always positive and does not come out of religious teachings.
